Mirbat

The place today

Mirbat is a historic Dhofari port town east of Salalah, with old merchant houses, a fishing harbour and some of the best diving on the Omani coast. The hills behind it turn green during the khareef.

• Shuwaymiyah lies approximately 101 nautical miles to the north.
• Hawana / Salalah lies approximately 40 nautical miles to the south.
