Dibba Musandam

The place today

Dibba sits on the eastern side of the Musandam peninsula, facing the Gulf of Oman. It is the point where the mountains meet a more accessible shoreline, and it already receives day traffic from the UAE east coast.

Cruising notes

• A natural staging point between the Musandam khors and the mainland Batinah coast.
• Exposure to easterly swell; shelter is directional rather than all-weather.

Position on the coast

• Khasab / Musandam lies approximately 39 nautical miles to the north.
• Sohar lies approximately 92 nautical miles to the south.
• Distances are indicative great-circle estimates with a routing allowance, not navigational data.

Proposed as a resort and sailing destination that links Musandam to the mainland coast — smaller in scale than Khasab, oriented toward leisure sailing rather than clearance and transit.
